Experts weigh in on Mizzou’s clean energy future

Columbia, MO – Student leaders of Coal Free Mizzou will host a Clean Energy Panel to discuss pathways to transition the university from an on-campus, coal burning power plant to 100% clean, renewable energy.

WHAT: An expert panel will discuss and answer questions about the urgency, logistics and realization of a transition to clean energy for the University of Missouri.

WHO: Speakers include: Professor Jan Weaver, Director of Environmental Studies; Jim Pierobon, alumnus and Vice President of Standard Solar; Henry Robertson, environmental lawyer with Great Rivers Environmental Law Center; Steve Burdic, MU’s Sustainability Coordinator.

WHEN: Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 6pm.
